We visited angthong in one day trip, by 'koh samui tour' http://www.tourskohsamui.com/angthong.html

not a great place for swim/ snorkling. because the beach is rocky, and the water not so clean/ light blue). maybe because so many boats and people are visited.

I suggest u to bring shoes, to climb THE VIEW POINT, because the hill was made of marble.  (indonesian = marmer)

so slippery. and OMG the landscape was about 70 to 80 degree in the final 100 metres.
which means u are climbing, not hiking. unfortunately, i fail in last 50 metres. it was extreme difficult, and i wore sandals.
so slippery and my right hand was handling water bottle and the other camera. no pocket.
so to bring : bagpack, water, wear a shoes. also camera inside the bag. because the view is stunning.

Note : 200metres to 400 metres start diffucult to climb.. exhausted!

500m view (the top)

on the right side view (500m)
