SURIN ISLAND - Khaolak

Yes! Surin is about Snorkling as they offer national park to snorkling.. Great big corals and colorful and variety fishes around these national park islands..

the surin island itself, has strong currents.. i visited surin island in year end 2013. Bad weather.

However.. Surin Island is accidentally trip for us.. As we have one day free from trip. After visited Similan and Koh Tachai.. So we dediced one day trip (last trip) and at night we went back to Krabi for HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014

actually we had 3days trip of seasick due to big wave.. euy.. my head spinned at night while sleeping.. This Surin Island is the worst weather and big wave also.. But it was worthed (^ ^)

Firts stop for snorkling : Yeah.. we re not allowed to go to that island.. due to this is national park for turtle conservation..

This trip.. only this trip, we got towel.. and we know why at the end.. because.. wet wet wet ride while go and back to/ from surin island..

SOUTH SURIN

Headed to Moken Sea Gypsy village,

Moken Sea Gypsy village, the sea color turns into turbid/ grey around this island

Local people sold souvenirs at the Moken Sea Gypsy village, around 50-100-200Baht or more

Mo Koh Surin National Park, 2 currents meet up in the centre.. between these island and across.. No swiming allowed

last place to snorkling : Tornila Island.. you must jump instead of tired of seasick.. because this place is the best coral viewed, best for snorkling.. I forgot to take picture due to seasick and exhausted, also limited time..

these pineapple biscuits so delicous with hot tea, after seasick 2,5 hours back from surin island.. euy..

Where is Surin Island? 30 minutes drive from khaolak to pier.. and 2hours by speedboat..

SIMILAN ISLANDS

Similan islands was my favorite islands so far..

Especially beacuse of Koh Miang, this island has two beach : east and west.
Please note : If you visit this island, remember to take a look at the both beaches.

East Beach has the perfect great wave and white sand. So many people play wave and fun-scream while playing the wave.

West Beach hmmm The Guide said we can snorkling here, but i dont think so. As so many boats park at the beach.

High season in the Similans is from December until April, when the monsoon stays far away. The best period to visit is March, when the winds are calm and the water clear. The national park is closed from May 16 to November 15.

During the low season between May to November the Similan & Surin national parks are closed. There is a pervasive swell in the open ocean and only the foolhardy and/or brave will venture out.
