KOH TACHAI

KOH TACHAI

Is Well-known as Maldives of Thailand. At least the pure white sand and blue colorful sea.
Located on Khaolak. See the map below.

We did this one day tour, from Khaolak. You can get this tour also from Phuket, but very far. it took 1,5hours drive from Phuket to khaolak. Which means 3-4 hours 2ways.
So it is better to stay on Khaolak to get this trip.

Its a long trip..
It took 1,5 to 2 hours by Speedboat from Khaolak to Koh Tachai also.

Things You have to know about Koh Tachai :
Koh Tachai is one remote island of similan islands. And will be close for 6months (May 16 to November 15).. due to bad climate and low season.

High season in the Similans is from December until April, when the monsoon stays far away. The best period to visit is March, when the winds are calm and the water clear. The national park is closed from May 16 to November 15.

During the low season between May to November the Similan & Surin national parks are closed. There is a pervasive swell in the open ocean and only the foolhardy and/or brave will venture out.

We stayed on Nangthong beach in Khaolak. A great beach.. Pure sands beach, and We can played big wave when the tide is high. Awesome!! And just 10 minutes walk to the main road,

Our hotel : Khaolak Golden place, The big room hotel, great staf, delicous american breakfast, Great manager. She helped us arrange taxi, onee day trip to that 3 islands 3 days, and also lots of informations.
